MULTIPLEX
RACING – 2009 SYNDICATE & FAQ’S
OVERVIEW
Multiplex
Racing is a new concept in syndicated ownership in that we are non profit making
yet we still give the owner full ownership rights over two seasons with all
prize money won being credited to the syndicate account.
The
syndicate has been set up by Allan Stennett & Richard Kent with Mark Ball taking
the position of Racing Manager. Mark will be your point of contact for all
enquiries on 01691 653 269.
Multiplex
Racing will lease two very well bred Multiplex fillies, put in the care of top
class trainers, to the syndicate for two full seasons. It will be our aim to
win as many races as possible and to thereby give each owner the complete thrill
of racehorse ownership.
HOW CAN YOU RUN A
BUSINESS YET REMAIN NON PROFIT MAKING?
Mickley
Stud & Allseasons Bloodstock will lease two very well bred fillies to the
syndicate over the course of the contract. However when the contract ends
ownership then returns to the above.
If the
fillies are successful on the track their subsequent value as brood mares, to
stand at stud, will be greatly enhanced. This is where Mickley Stud &
Allseasons Bloodstock will benefit so it follows that owners should only pay
actual racing expenses whilst in training & have all the prize money won
credited to the syndicate account.
LEASEHOLDING – WHAT
ARE THE BENEFITS?
A lease
is like a loan agreement. You will become a leased shareholder in two fillies
over an agreed contractual term. When the contract ends you will hand the
fillies back. Therefore there are no expensive initial purchase costs.
Over the contracted term you
will 'own' 10% of each filly and therefore any prize money won will be paid
directly to the syndicate account. You will go to the races as an owner, enter the parade ring,
meet the trainer & jockey, watch the race from the owners stand, greet your
horse back as a winner.
It’s the
complete package !
WHAT HORSES WILL BE
PART OF THE 2009 MULTIPLEX LEASE?
We will
lease two fillies to form the 2009 Multiplex Syndicate. They are currently
un-named.
Both 2009
fillies have been sired by Group race winner
MULTIPLEX.
The two proven mares are called
GAGAJULU
and
ASINARA.
WHEN WILL THE
FILLIES BE NAMED?
They will
be named in the autumn of 2010 in order to be registered with the BHA &
Weatherbys. They will enter full training shortly afterwards.
HOW MUCH DOES IT
COST TO JOIN THE 2009 MULTIPLEX SYNDICATE?
The total
cost will be no more than £15,000 in total. Any surplus funds left in the
account, after all costs have been deducted, will be returned to the owner at
the end of the contract.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO
PAY MY SYNDICATE FEES?
The
payments have been split down into 4 manageable segments over the contract term:
1st
January 2010 - £2,500
1st
July 2010 - £5,000

if Allan Stennett & Richard Kent feel there is value in continuing for another
season the syndicate will be offered this option. A decision on a potential 4yo
career would be made by October 2012.

SHARE TO ANOTHER PERSON?
Shares
can be transferred provided that prior written consent is obtained from
Multiplex Racing & that the transferee of the share agrees in writing to be
bound by the contract agreement.

WHEN WILL I BE PAID
MY PRIZE MONEY?
At the
end of the contract, December 2012, the accounts will be audited by our
accountant. At that stage each owner will receive a pro rata payment from
Multiplex Racing to reflect the balance of surplus funds remaining in the
syndicate account after all costs have been deducted.
These
funds will be transferred directly to your bank account by secure transfer. A
full account statement will be posted to you directly from our auditors.
WHO WILL TRAIN THE
HORSES?
The two
fillies will be placed with Clive Cox (Lambourn) and Richard Fahey (Malton) for
the duration of the contract.

experienced & highly successful.
We feel
having one filly based in the south, one in the north, will give us the best
opportunity to be successful and to give you maximum enjoyment.
WHO WILL RIDE THE
HORSES?
Clive Cox
uses a variety of top class jockeys such as Frankie Dettori, Phillip Robinson,
Richard Hughes and Adam Kirby.
Richard

|
WHEN AND HOW OFTEN
WILL THE HORSES RACE? |
| |
| We cannot

|
CAN I VISIT THE
TRAINER TO SEE MY HORSE? |
| |
|
Multiplex
Racing will organise bespoke stable visits at both yards throughout the contract
term. Ideally we will fix these dates for when we either have a runner locally
or on a day when racing takes place locally to the trainer. These will be
planned for weekends only to maximise the chance of owners being able to attend.
However if you're in the area, wish to see your horse, Mark
will endeavour to arrange a suitable date & time with the trainer.
|
HOW WILL I KNOW
WHEN A HORSE IS DUE TO RACE?
Our
trainers will lead the way with running plans but will consult with Mark. Once
a decision has been made to place an entry it will be Mark’s job to ensure each
owner is fully briefed.
He will
also ensure you have full feedback on training schedules, race declarations &
jockey bookings. This information will be given via electronic mail &
telephone.
Flat
racing is governed by 48hr declarations so we will know, for example, on
Thursday morning that your horse will race on Saturday.
WHAT ARRANGEMENTS
WILL BE MADE FOR ME ON RACE DAYS?
Mark will
contact each owner on day of declaration to see if you can ‘come racing’. He
will also provide an analysis of the race which sums up our hopes & expectations
for the day.
Two
badges (where possible) will be provided for you on the Owners and Trainers
entrance on race day. Mark will also be in attendance, where possible, to meet
you & ensure you are catered for during the day.
Occasionally Multiplex Racing may hold small hospitality events at the track for
you to attend.
ARE THERE ANY
RESTRICTIONS ON RACE DAY?
Multiplex
Racing wants you to thoroughly enjoy your racing. All we ask is that you take
extreme care when around the horses both in the parade & unsaddling ring.
We ask
you to observe the compulsory H&S racecourse rules on bringing infants into
dangerous areas. Therefore nobody under the age of 16 will be permitted into
the parade or unsaddling areas.
WHAT IF A HORSE
GETS INJURED?
In the
event of a horse sustaining an injury which ends its racing career prior to Jan
1st 2011 the lease on that horse will cease. Multiplex Racing will
then endeavour to replace that horse with another horse of similar standard.
