About Us

Multiplex Racing comprises of a team of three people. They will use two top class trainers with each taking one filly.

RICHARD KENT

Richard Kent is the owner and driving force behind Mickley Stud although he didn't start there.

His father was a beef farmer with a passion for breeding thoroughbreds so Richard was given his first broodmare early in life.  On leaving school he worked with Robert Percival but then moved to Liam Cashman’s Glenview Stud where he managed the jumping stallion base.  After 8 years with Liam he broadened his experience by working in studs in Western Australia.

Returning to England he was a partner in Helshaw Grange stud for 14 years before branching out on his own when Mickley Stud was fully built in 2006.

Richard has bred four Group 1 winners & purchased the Irish Guineas winner Saoire as a foal for £4,000 reselling her as a yearling for 65,000 euros. He also bred the 2006 Irish 1000 Guineas runner up Ardbrea Lady plus other black type horses sired by Overbury including Over Siberia, Overbury Affair & Publican.

ALLAN STENNETT

Allan Stenett

Allan is a highly successful businessman & long standing owner who purchased his first racehorse in 1988.  He has had horses with Martin Pipe, Alan King, Phillip Hobbs, John Quinn and the late David Nicholson who trained Allan’s first Festival winner Pharanear in March 1997.

Allan’s passion for racing is huge.  He has enjoyed success under both codes but mostly with his National Hunt horses particularly as part owner of Blowing Wind who, as well as coming 3rd in the Grand  National on two occasions, twice won at the Cheltenham Festival whilst in training with Marin Pipe.  On the first occasion victory completed the Imperial Cup & County Hurdle double thus collecting a £50.000 bonus. On the second occasion in 2002 it completed a personal double on the day for Allan as Galileo, trained by Tom George, also won the Royal & Sun Alliance Novice Hurdle.

Along with Richard Kent Multiplex Racing is his vision so it follows that Allan is highly motivated for it to succeed. Allan has decided to take a share in the syndicate for his children in the hope that they along with the other syndicate partners will experience the joy and excitement of winning races at the highest level and at the best tracks.
